Gift of Stock

When you donate appreciated stock that you have held for over one year from the date of exercise of an option, you get a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time of your donation. By gifting the securities directly to CEF Greater Pee Dee, you also avoid the capital gains tax that would otherwise be due on the sale of the securities.

Making a Bequest of Your Retirement Assets
A retirement asset, such as an IRA account, makes an excellent bequest to us. If the IRA were given to your family, much of the value may be lost through estate and income taxes. By designating CEF as the beneficiary of all or part of your IRA, the full value of the gift is transferred tax-free at your death and your estate receives an estate tax charitable deduction.

Charitable IRA Rollover

The IRA Charitable Rollover provision allows individuals who have reached age 70½ to donate up to $100,000 to charitable organizations directly from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA), without treating the distribution as taxable income.

If you are considering a bequest in your will, then the essential information you will need to give your attorney is as follows:

Planned Giving

There are many planned giving options available to you. Planned giving can provide you with tax benefits while simultaneously helping share the Good News. Through a planned gift, you may be able to increase your current income or provide additional retirement income while reducing your income tax and estate taxes.

A charitable bequest is one of the easiest ways you can leave a lasting impact on Child Evangelism Fellowship. A bequest may be made in your will or trust directing a gift to CEF. With the help of an advisor, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to family, friends and/or CEF as part of your estate plan.

  • Charitable gift annuity
  • Charitable remainder or lead trust
  • Securities
  • Endowment gift of $25,000 or more
