Equipping: Equipping the volunteer teachers is the primary goal of our literature ministries, which includes literature development and production. In addition to our biblically sound and colorfully illustrated Bible curriculum, some of the most strategic tools we offer are the 60-Day Wonder Devotional Books, which encourage children to begin a lifetime habit of time alone with God. We are also known for our evangelism tools, such as The Wordless Book.
Supporting: In CEF we need a growing number of local volunteers on the front lines to see the children evangelized and we also need an increasing support team to get behind these workers – both are vitally important. The work of CEF cannot continue without the Lord’s provision. For this reason we are committed to building a connection between those who are called and equipped by God to do ministry and those who are blessed and able to provide the finances needed to sustain it. God is our source—we “trust Him and tell His people”—the rest is up to Him. So our prayer is that the Lord will send out more laborers and also that He will raise up a team of supporters for them.
Training: The training of local workers and volunteers multiplies our ministry and enables us to reach many more children with the Gospel than we otherwise could. Through the Children's Ministry Conference, GNC training, Teaching Children Effectively™ courses and the 12-weekChildren’s Ministries Institute courses, CEF is enabling those with a burden for children to effectively evangelize and disciple them.
Training is key if we are to see more children reached for His glory.
Each of our local events are an extension of ministry or for ministry support. These events are both an outreach to the lost, an opportunity for believers to serve, and an occasion for supporting the work of the ministry. It is the goal of CEF for every event to be a form of ministry.
Therefore these events incorporate one or more of the following elements training, equipping, and supporting.
There are 27,000 children, ages 5-12, living in the Greater Pee Dee Chapter. Of those, 80% have not attended church within the past 3 months. Most have never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel.
This is where differences are being made... among the most fruitful spiritual harvest field.
God told his disciples to pray... not for the harvest, but that the Lord would send more workers. Therefore, we have been praying for YOU. Will you join with CEF and make disciples?
CEF is not just discipling the children who are hungry for the Word, but the volunteers who are learning how to share the Gospel and are growing as a disciple in order to be able to tell the children, "Follow me as I follow Christ." God can use you in this ministry. The question is, how are you willing to be used?
Serving Horry, Georgetown, and Marion Counties
Only as we trust in God and call upon Him are we empowered to do His will. Programs come after prayer, never before it.
We have over 450 volunteers reaching 2,000 plus each year. God works through His people, Godly leaders, staff, and volunteers in order to grow this ministry. We provide training, equip our workers with ministry tools and support them through fund-raising and ministry development.
Our ministry vision is to reach
Every Child, in Every Nation, Every Day.
Every Child: God has given His people a
clear commission—to reach every creature
with the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Strategic ministry choices such as Good News
Club in public schools, 5-Day Clubs, and the
Truth Chasers Club.
Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world and
preach the gospel to every creature.”
Every Nation: We are trusting God to open doors for CEF ministry in each area within Horry, Georgetown, and Marion counties (the Greater Pee Dee chapter). This means sponsoring churches and volunteers to enter these public schools which are ready for a Good News Club. 5-Day Clubs also help make connections and mobilize the church for reaching these unreached areas. As disciples are grown locally, God will call many to go and support missions in other areas of the world.
Matthew 28:19, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations.”
Every Day: We are committed to leading children to be in God’s Word every day. As children grow in their relationship with the Lord through meditating on His Word, they develop Godly character, which produces much fruit to the glory of God, including spreading the Gospel to their peers.
Psalm 119:2, “Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.”
