Our Story
The Local Work:
One of 11 chapters of CEF of SC, Inc., the Greater Pee Dee Chapter serves and supports the CEF ministry in Horry, Georgetown, and Marion counties of South Carolina.
This local work is completely a work of God on a grassroots level. This means 100% of the financial support and volunteers are a direct result of the local efforts of concerned, burdened, and passionate people from within the local area.
Our prayer is that you would join us as we work in the most spiritually productive harvest field anywhere – among the children. Currently the worldwide population of children is at over 3 billion and grows by 240,000 each day! Of those, there are over 27,000 children living in the Greater Pee Dee Chapter and a majority of them have never heard the Good News of Jesus clearly presented to them and approximately 80% are not attending church.
CEF of the Greater Pee Dee has different types of evangelistic/discipleship/training programs to help believers reach these unreached children, disciple those who believe, and connect them with a local church. These include Good News Club (GNC), Christian Youth In Action (CYIA), 5-Day Club (summer clubs), and others. Learn more about CEF's ministries here.

The History:
Child Evangelism Fellowship® was founded in 1937 by Rev. J. Irvin Overholtzer, a man with a God-given vision for boys and girls in need of the Savior. Today, this ministry has grown into the largest evangelistic outreach to children in the world. CEF is currently ministering in over 187 countries and in every state and province in North America to develop national and local workers and leaders for completing the mission of CEF.
